Guest speakers Dr. Raul Rosenthal, MD, FASMBS, Chairman of the Department of General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida, and Mr. Manish Chand, MBBS, BSc, FRCS, MBA, PhD, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and Associate Professor, present the history and near future of infrared guided surgery (IGS). Dr. Rosenthal discusses issues and confusions during a cholecystectomy and bile duct injuries, and how fluorescent cholangiography can make these procedures cheaper, faster, and less complex. The second speaker, Mr. Chand, discusses IGS in colorectal procedures, and how IGS is and can be used with other surgeries.
